I do the same back to all ten of them. It's an easy and rewarding part of my spiritual practice and, just for today, I'd like to extend it here:

Today I am grateful:

1. For my physical health and a general peace of mind I have not always had.
2. No matter what I find myself going through, I no longer need nor wish to face it alone.
3. I matter enough to some people that they wish me well on holidays through various mediums.
4. There is always enough time to do what is meant to be done.

This year's Critical Mass Anti-Auto Show is going to be the best ever. We don't have a space yet, and we don't have a single dollar for organizing. What we do have is a battalion of visionary bike riders and artists whose collective contributions will surely astound and enlighten the uninitiated. Bring your unusual inventions, your fantastic renditions, your most clever creations to Chicago's Tenth Anniversay Critical Mass Anti-Auto Show, and help us to celebrate the end of car culture.

Start to think out your artistic statement about city life, car culture, or the beauty of the bicycle. The show will open on the second saturday in February, and run through to the end of the month.

The dream took place at Second and Market. I dreamed that I slipped on the grates at same said intersection and went under an oncoming car. I know many people have gone down right there and at least two guys I knew were killed there. My dreams occured BEFORE the deaths. I know a girl who has a permanent scar from those very grates and who's brother was killed at Second and Market. The night he died I dreamt of a round-trip where he and I had exchanged fates. That it was supposed to be me who had died. A week latter a guy came up to me and said how good it was to see me, cause he had witnessed the aftermath of of the incident and thought it was me under the bus. Creepy. I dreamed my bike was falling apart a few blocks from Aero. The next morning my chain fell off and I hit my head and got a concussion, a few blocks from Aero. I dreamed that a friend of mine slipped on his motorcycle in the rain on a freeway. His body fell into a lake and he was being eaten by a shark before me and the highwayworker could get to him. A month latter he called me after a two week stint in the hospital. He'd been broadsided on his motorcycle and remembered nothing. I told him maybe I should have told him about the dream. But really, would it have changed anything?

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has dug into the guts of these things and discovered what makes them click. My problem is in fact the occasional lack of "click" in the rear shifter. Especially when shifting up sometime after the 3rd smallest cog. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. In the hopes that I can avoid buying whole new shifter, I'm asking if there is a way to fix this?
